Who we are

The Christophsbad Klinikgruppe includes five facilities at six locations between Stuttgart and the Swabian Alb.

  • The Christophsbad Specialist Hospital in Göppingen provides psychiatric and neurological care to both inpatients and outpatients. In Göppingen, we also offer inpatient geriatric rehabilitation.
  • In our two Christophsheim homes in Göppingen, around 250 people with care needs are given optimal around-the-clock support.
  • The Bad Boll Rehabilitation Clinic is a place for persons undergoing rehabilitation and health-conscious people who wish to actively improve their well-being.
  • The MentaCare Stuttgart Centre for Mental Health offers tailor-made therapy on a daily and outpatient basis.
  • Our new Medical Care Centre (MVZ) in Göppingen town centre treats psychiatric and neurological diseases on an outpatient-basis right on-site.
  • The Medical Care Center (MVZ) in Bad Boll treats ENT diseases.

Our 1,700 employees are characterised by their competence, heart and passion. They ensure the smooth daily operation of our clinics, providing care and support to patients and overseeing everything from prevention and acute treatment through to aftercare and guidance. And this is a long-standing tradition, because the privately-run family business was established 170 years ago.

Across all our facilities, we see ourselves as a community that supports each other and exchanges knowledge. This is precisely why we as an employer want to enable Ukrainian refugees to start their careers in our clinic group. We offer full-time and part-time career entrance positions, internships and apprenticeships. Depending on your language skills and qualifications, you can choose from a variety of different job opportunities.

We employ people from almost 50 different nations – and perhaps soon you too?

Your career prospects

If you have completed your degree abroad, it needs to be recognised before you can practise as a doctor in Germany. How long this procedure takes varies for each individual and depends among other things on your language skills, which need to be at least German B2 level. You can find detailed information on this topic in different languages here.

We offer career prospects to both assistant consultants and consultants. Our holistic approach to therapy encompasses the following specialist areas:

  • Psychiatry and psychotherapy
  • Psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy
  • Neurology
  • Diagnostic radiology – focusing on neuroradiology
  • Internal medicine, also with subspecialisation in cardiology
  • General medicine
  • Anaesthesiology
  • Rehabilitative medicine
  • Other areas: geriatrics, physical medicine, palliative care and sports medicine

The core task of your work is naturally the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Due to our broad spectrum of treatments and the carefully coordinated departmental structures, you will also work closely with colleagues from other and/or cross-therapy areas.

Germany distinguishes between nurses and nursing assistants. Nurses in Germany complete a three-year apprenticeship. The Christophsbad Klinikgruppe offers such training in-house.

Nurses who completed their training abroad need to be recognised in Germany before they can practise their profession. How long the recognition procedure takes depends among other things on your language skills, which need to be at least German B2 level.

Nursing assistants support nurses in their work and take on various tasks that have to do with daily personal hygiene or food intake, for example. Nursing assistants, unlike nurses, are untrained. For this reason, they are not allowed to provide treatment care. Treatment care refers, for example, to tasks that are prescribed by a doctor and may only be carried out by trained nurses.

Here you will find detailed information in different languages on the subject of professional recognition.

Nurses in Germany can also specialise in public healthcare, care of the elderly and care of the ill and can be deployed in all the group’s facilities. Possible fields of expertise include, for example:

  • Psychiatry and gerontopsychiatry
  • Psychosomatics
  • Neurology
  • Geriatric rehabilitation
  • Child and adolescent psychiatry
  • Sleep laboratory

Depending on the therapy and place of employment, your work as a nurse at the Christophsbad will include a variety of important and responsible tasks. Some of these tasks are listed below:

  • Observing and caring for patients
  • Guidance and assistance with everyday life activities
  • Creation and documentation of care and treatment plans
  • Preparation and follow-up as well as support during diagnosis and/or therapy
  • Dispensing and/or administering medication
  • Medically necessary measures such as wound care, injections and blood sampling
  • Conducting activities outside the ward, for example leisure activities

Many psychological fields of activity are strictly regulated in Germany. This means that recognition is necessary. How long the recognition procedure takes depends among other things on your language skills, which need to be at least German B2 level.
